Radio Communications,
Raynet was started in the 50's to help with emergency communications for the user services. These being the Emergency service's and Utility company's, as well as Local Authorities, St Johns and The Red Cross. However for practice and to keep active we also do communications for Local Events around our regions. In our particular group, We cover the whole of one of the biggest counties in Wales, About 100 miles North to South and 45 miles East to West. Most of this terrain being mountains and hills. Mobile phone coverage is very patchy, if at all for some reason in the ideal locations for Walking, Running and riding horses.
We cover a number of excercises in the average year, from Walks, Marathons and Motorcycle Enduro's to Horse Endurance events. Although we have grown recently, we still do not have a large membership and often have to call on North Dyfed Raynet to help us with some of our events
